Beach
The Beach and Swim Area does not have a lifeguard on duty during the summer. There is a swim lane for lap swimmers out at the far end of the Swim Area. All swimmers must stay within the limits of the swim area for safety. The Beach area also has a kayak launch area at the far end. Kayaks/sunfish/motor boats/jet skis must stay out of the swim area for safety purposes.

Large Pool
"3 Foot" area, great for young children learning to swim and is equipped with steps and railings for entry.
- The lap lane area, depth goes from 3' to 5'. There are always 2 lap lanes available for lap swimmers daily, we ask that you share if the demand is high
- The Diving Boards, this area has strict rules for safety purposes, we ask that young children are accompanied by adults.
The large pool is also equipped with a chair to assist those who cannot use ladders or steps for entry or exit. No toys or any type of flotation devices are allowed in the Large Pool. All swimmers must adhere by the Pool Rules and requests of the Pool Staff.

The Pier Park has two Playscapes, one for tots and one for older children.
2 Tennis Courts
In order to reserve a Court, residents must make a reservation online and reservations can not exceed 1 1/2 hours of playing time.
4 Pickleball Courts
In order to reserve a Court, residents must make a reservation online and reservations can not exceed 1 1/2 hours of playing time.
3 Shuffle Board Courts
Shuffle Board Court equipment is available at the Checkroom window, across from the Men's and Women's Bathhouses. You must leave a driver's license or a park pass in exchange for the equipment.
2 Paddle Tennis Courts
A household may reserve 1 to 1 1/2 hours of playing time per day. For groups larger than 6, the same household can reserve the second court for the same time period. Online Reservations can be made no more than two days in advance, beginning at 6:00 a.m. In order to reserve a Court, residents must make a reservation online. Upon arrival for their reservation, the resident must turn in their Park Pass or Driver's License in exchange for a key to the Court, when the key is returned, their Park Pass or Driver's License is returned. City sponsored activities or special events will take priority over all Paddle Tennis Court requests.
Refrigerated Ice Rink
The Refrigerated Ice Skating Rink at Pier Park will open in December. Date of opening is dependent on weather. The ice rink is for open skating only, hockey playing is prohibited. Hours for the ice rink are below. Click Here for safety and rules for the ice rink.

Pier Park Marina
Boats are moored at the Pier Park Harbor from May 1 - November 1 for Farms residents only.
The Pier Park Harbor has 333 mooring spaces. Mooring spaces include Jet Ski floating platforms to 60 foot long wells. Shore power and water pedestals are available for all boat wells 25 feet and longer. Shared electrical service plugs and water are available for boat wells under 25 feet. The City has a boat lift available to launch boats with trailers approximately 21 feet in length and shorter, although there are certain restrictions to use the boat lift. The City also has 160 kayak storage space racks at Pier Park with a beach launch area. Harbor facilities are only available for residents of Grosse Pointe Farms.
The City maintains waiting lists for the various size boat wells at the Parks and Recreation Office. Residents can add their names to one or all of the Harbor Waiting Lists. There is a $100 application fee for the initial Harbor Mooring Application and a $50 fee for each additional Harbor Mooring Application. Residents interested in a Kayak Rack Storage Space must complete a Harbor Mooring Application and pay the $10 application fee in order to be added to the waiting list.
Community Building
The Community Building houses the Parks and Recreation Office, a Conference Room, Activities Room, Great Room, Screened Porch, a Lobby area with a TV and sitting area. Upstairs, there is a Game Room equipped with pool, ping pong, air hockey and fooseball. All minors using the upstairs game room must be accompanied by an adult.
